Our passion lies in fine, natural colored gems. Our staff has the knowledge and resources to find the perfect gemstone. Because we are an American Gem Society store, continuing education is very important to us. All sales associates have at least a Certified Sales Associate credential. We take pride in our reputation and are always eager to exceed customer expectations in order to create a lasting positive experience with every customer. 

Our large workshop has cutting edge technology, including CAD/CAM, laser welding, wax milling and growing, platinum casting, and state-of-the-art wax injection. With all these resources, and a highly trained staff, we are able to do all of our design and repair work in-house. Our in-house appraiser is able to perform appraisals on customer pieces and new purchases. Olufson Design’s store front is just one of several jewelry businesses owned by the Olufson family. Designer brands Toby Pomeroy, and Studio 311, also fall under the Olufson family.  

Job Description:

Primarily, event planning/organization, project management as assigned, manage Shopify, website adjustments, newsletter creation, and marketing. Secondarily, set up and take down of merchandise, high end sales, repair and appraisal take-in, keep showroom clean and assist with other store areas, properly merchandise showcases, inspect and clean customer and store jewelry, place special orders with our online wholesalers, research and follow through with customer needs, educate themselves, and assist with year-end inventory. This is a small business and all employees must be adaptable to wearing many hats. Above all else…ensure all customers leave educated, happy, and ready to give us a 5-star review. 

Skills:

• Jewelry or luxury sales background preferred
• GIA/AGS gemology credentials preferred
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Computer Skills
• Shopify, social media/marketing
• Photography
